About us

A local travel partner, based beside the port

Laaganan Travel & Tours is run from San Jose, Dinagat Islands. We organise island-hopping, inland heritage circuits, sunset tours and custom itineraries — and we operate the transport and the sunset venue ourselves.

Why we exist

Most visitors reach the Dinagat Islands through San Jose Port, and most arrive with a boat tour booked and nothing else planned. The standard island-hopping day returns to San Jose at around 3:30 in the afternoon, and after that guests are on their own.

We built our tours around that gap. The inland heritage circuit takes in the landmarks that define the province — the PBMA Divine Master Shrine, the Island Castle, the Provincial Capitol built in the shape of a ship — and finishes on the Basilisa peak for sunset and dinner.

How we work

Every booking is handled from the San Jose office by the same team that dispatches it. We run our own Toyota Tamaraw on the San Jose to Basilisa route, and the sunset venue at the top is our sister business — so the transport, the guide and the table are all things we can actually answer for.

Before every sea departure we confirm the boat, an accredited boatman, life vests and Coast Guard clearance. When clearance is not given, the alternative is already written into your terms rather than negotiated on the morning.

What we will not do

We will not publish a rate we cannot honour, an accreditation we have not been granted, or a review we did not receive. Where this site is missing a detail, it is because we have not confirmed it yet — not because it is hidden.
