Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, and how accessible our tours are — honestly.
Awaiting legal review
This website
We have built this site to target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means:
- Every page uses proper landmarks and a logical heading order.
- Everything is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- A "skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches.
- Form fields have real labels, and validation errors are announced, not just coloured.
- Text meets AA contrast against its background. Our brand gold is used for rules and large display type rather than body text, because it does not meet AA at small sizes.
- Animation is subtle, and is switched off entirely when your device requests reduced motion.
- There is no autoplaying audio or video, and no interstitial pop-ups.
We have not yet had this site audited by an external accessibility specialist. If something does not work for you, please tell us — we will fix it and tell you when we have.
Our tours
We would rather be straight with you than optimistic:
- The viewing decks involve short walks on uneven ground and are not wheelchair accessible.
- Sea legs involve boarding an outrigger boat from a beach or jetty, which requires some mobility and balance.
- The Basilisa peak cools quickly after sundown, which matters for some medical conditions.
Please tell us in advance about any medical condition, mobility limitation, or pregnancy. We will tell you honestly which parts of a tour will and will not work for you, rather than selling you something that will not.
