A sample 3-day Dinagat Islands itinerary
Three days, built entirely from departures we actually run — nothing on this itinerary is aspirational.
A good sample itinerary should be one you can actually book, stop by stop. This one is — every activity below links to the real tour that runs it, at the real times it runs.
The simplest version is one booking: the Ultimate 3D2N is built as exactly this trip, three days with two nights' accommodation included. Aim to land in San Jose the afternoon before, so day one starts at the port rather than at the airport.
Day 1 — Basilisa island hopping
Meet at San Jose Port at 7:30 AM. The Basilisa route runs Cabacungan Cove, Duyos Camping Resort, a third beach chosen on the day — Bitaog, Bitaog Grandy or Biray-Biray, depending on conditions — and Pagkawasan Garden Beach, with a set lunch on the sand. Back in San Jose by 3:00 PM, then to your accommodation.
One route, one day. Four stops is what a day at sea actually holds.
Day 2 — Libjo island hopping
Breakfast, then out again at 8:00 AM for the Libjo route: the Hagakhak rock formations, Pangabangan Beach, Kisses Islets and the Blue Lagoon with the view deck above it, and Jelmars Islet Resort. Lunch included. Back by 3:30 PM.
Libjo and Basilisa are far apart, which is exactly why they are separate days rather than a single ambitious one.
Day 3 — heritage circuit and sunset
A slower start. Pickup at 1:30 PM for the land circuit — the PBMA Divine Master Shrine, the Island Castle and Yamashiro, the ship-shaped Provincial Capitol — then up to the Basilisa peak, seated before sundown, with the Premium Set served at 6:15 PM. Back in San Jose by 8:45 PM.
Day three runs whatever the sea is doing, which is why it closes the trip rather than opening it.
Why it is three days and not two
We used to sell this as two. It does not work, and we would rather say so than have you find out on the second morning: each island-hopping route is a full day on its own, and the heritage circuit plus the run up the mountain is another. Compressed into two days, something has to be dropped — usually the part you were looking forward to.
